Been a frustrating day (another one) since the roll-out of MobileMe. I have now hosed my contacts across all of my devices. The sync works *extremely well* when on one, you delete all the contacts and in the very next step reset one device (a MBP), and request to overwrite the blank address book (on the MBP) with good data from MobileMe.
It is amazing to watch every one of your contact lists disappear from the MBP (but failed to restore), Outlook 2003, a Moto Q, and the iPod Touch with 2.0 syncing to Exchange.
Somehow it works, but not well, and certainly not how I (and I would suspect Apple) ever intended. The MBP was set to manual sync, and I reset only Contacts from the MobileMe preference "pain". So much for watching the error from MM to MBP. :P
Calendars don't sync, at all. I scrub dupes and errors introduced by "the system" but either get errors, or get partial bits of information.
I suggest they go back to the drawing board and try again.
