I went to the Alaska Native Heritage Center this afternoon. On the bill was Arvel Bird. I saw him at the Mohican Pow-wow back in September in Loudenville, Ohio. When I met him, I mentioned being from Alaska. He said he would be in Alaska sometime in mid-November. He wasn’t sure of the location at the time, and we parted ways. Blasted through 60,000 tracks, with Yangin, by Zarema. This was from the “W Hotels: The Sound Of Wonderlust” CD obtained on my recent stay at the W in Westwood. Added this track on November 22. Since then, have continued to add OOP LPs added from vinyl. Just passed 61,178 tracks. The latest LP is Ron Carter’s “Empire Jazz” LP from 1980. Earthgrooves, Valediction… Cool jazz / new age music from Vol. 2. First heard this one at EarthTV.com. You should definitely check out that site for views from around the world. A peek at my iTunes Library. I think this is a genre in and of itself. I have a small collection, all of which are in my iTunes library. Need to spend some time to update… One of these days. | ||||||
