Revisiting the iPad… Not that I have forgotten, or otherwise haven’t used this device, I thought more along the lines of “how” I use it. So, after all this time, I find that I don’t use 3G. I didn’t even “subscribe” this last month, and barely used tens of megabytes out of the 2GB I receive for $25USD from AT&T. Yes, I am a bit late to the party. It was a ‘wait and see’, followed by a bit of research before I purchased a factory unlocked phone. This followed the path of unlocked phones to use with my carrier, GCI, here in Alaska. Ok, so I never used the BT keyboard with the iPad. Shame on me. It looks like I didn’t know what I was missing… Hey, speaking of “missing”…! iPhone 3.0 advertised tethering as one of the enhancements. I searched Google to find out how to configure and saw many blogs and posts, either folks saying it works great, or not at all. But when I looked at my unlocked 3G from Hong Kong, I didn’t have the tethering option. I even went to the “3″ site in Hong Kong to see if they had instructions. As a matter of fact they did, but had to go to help.benm.at to get it working. Well, “rebuilt” the 3G several times. Finally have a stable build. I really like some of the new features of 3.0, such as Copy-and-Paste, MMS messaging, the ability to attach up to five photos to an email, etc., etc. | ||||||
