Rolex GMTII – To Oyster With JubileeIt’s another snowy Saturday… I didn’t go downtown to take in the start of the Iditarod this morning, but decided to change the GMTII to the new Jubilee instead. (Thanks to Tim (train-time) and TRF!) This was more relaxing and enjoyable than battling the crowds, although the Iditarod is a great event. Anyway, here’s some photos of the “transformation.” All in all, I really love the new bracelet. To me, it offers a more classic look than the Oyster. While both bracelets are comfortable, the Jubilee has a one up here. Getting ready to change from the original Oyster bracelet to a new 62510H V5 Jubilee with the correct 502T end pieces. Removing the Oyster, with the Jubilee for comparison. Test fit (without the springbars) of the 502T end pieces and the 62510H V5 Jubilee bracelet. Masking tape over the lugs to prevent scratches when reinstalling the springbars. One side attached and one more to go. Side by side comparison of the GMT Master II on its new Jubilee and the Explorer II on its Oyster bracelet. Wrist shot of the GMT II and the new Jubilee bracelet.
