A little hiccupI noticed the site (should say ‘domain’ I use TZO for DNS, as opposed to trying to configure and run my own DNS. I tried that in the past on a Windows Server machine and never, ever, did quite figure it all out. This way is so much easier, at least from my administrative end. Someday, I’ll dig in and discover how it all works, but until then I have a reliable way to point calls to my domain to the static address of my server. That is, if you renew the service on time. I remembered getting a couple of emails and sure enough, it was set to expire on July 5. According to the server logs, that must be July 5 in another time zone. It appears I was “off-line” from about 23:00 local Alaska time July 4. But a quick trip to follow the link and renew the service and we’re back. I will admit it was so much easier than last year, where I got billed twice! I never did get that resolved… Oh well, up and running again. | ||||||
