I had the opportunity to go back to Colorado in May 2008 for a class at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden. I arrived early from Alaska (due to the red-eye flight) and had time to kill so headed for the Park Meadow Mall.
Since I traveled on Saturday I spent the day at the Mall and back at the hotel. Sunday was a beautiful sunny day and had the chance to explore a park west of Denver. I ventured west to Silverthorne, Loveland Pass, and stopped through Georgetown on the way back.
Another day of class... But once it was out, there was time to run to the top of the mountain and visit Buffalo Bill's gravesite. When I lived here, I never made it up there.
A day to get out and explore "out west". Went to Leadville, which is the highest populated city / town in the United States. It was a great day to explore.
No, you didn't miss Day 7. It appears, looking back, that I didn't take any photos the previous day.
Today, day 8 of the trip, I returned home to Alaska.
